At 8:16 p.m., officers observed a Tesla pickup stopped at the intersection of Rt. 46 and Naughright road past the stop line into the intersection, Mount Olive police. The Tesla, driven by Todd Morici, was in the left lane of travel with its right turn signal activated, police said. As officers spoke with Morici, they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and noted that Morici appeared to be impaired, police said.
Morici was asked to exit his vehicle for field sobriety testing and was subsequently placed under arrest, police said. Morici refused to submit to chemical breath testing, police said. Morici was charged with DWI and reckless driving, police said.
